The perils of showbiz

Peregrine Bear dreams of a glittering showbiz career, and was eager to get his face 'out there' by modelling my newly completed garment. I warned him that my blog wasn't precisely 'out there', and that only ten or so people were going to see him, but I don't think he heard me through the crunching of polo mints (because a bear Never Knows). So I got him into the garment, snapped him, and despaired.
Peregrine's slenderness was doing nothing for my handiwork. I ripped it off him (constant repetitions of "I close my eyes, drew back the curtain....", slightly sharp, were beginning to get to me), banished him back to his dreams, and called in Christopher Bear's voluptuous curves.

Better (although a model who had bothered to wake up might have done a better job), but still not really showing the line of the jacket, so flat shots it will have to be.

It is, of course, an Elizabeth Zimmerman Baby (or Teddy) Surprise Jacket, knitted in a pure wool 4-ply from 21st Century Yarns (the colour is called 'Fiesta') on 3.25mm Addi circular needles, from the 5th to the 15th of November 2007. It needs buttons, which I will be looking for on Saturday.

It's only fair that you should buy a book on my recommendation, as I've already bought two on yours. I am half way through the muddy hell that is As Meat Loves Salt. Please come along and join the Knitalong at http://knittingnewscarves.blogspot.com/
too.
